Terri's feedback on Volume One (our first ever feedback!)

I was delighted to be the first ever receipient of the book " waiting for life to return" I found it all very interesting and read it from cover to cover many times, before passing it on to Carol.
The story itself is very reflective of life... as it can happen to us,and is a fantistic gentle little reminder of this.
The idea is a very novel and creative one, and i really hope that it will - with universal help - be kept circulating. I am hoping it will come my way again some time.
Congrats leyton on your first masterpice, keep up the good work and follow through with many more.
My observations are also, that it would be a good seller. thanks for including me. Photos taken before passing it on will be posted later.

THE FIRST MOVE, FINALLY

It has taken over three weeks since terri informed us that volume one of one short story to be told would be on the move, but it has finally moved.
carol, who also resides in london, is now in possesion of waiting for life to return.
feedback from terri regarding the story etc has been promised. lets hope that doesn't take three weeks to arrive as well!!
only joking, i want to thank terri for fulfiling her obligations, and for allowing waiting for life to return to find another set of ears. all decisions are of the holders making and timing.
now is anyone wondering what carol will do?
i sure am!!!

LAUNCH NIGHT A WOW

WOW! WOW! AND WOW AGAIN! Leyton was overwhelmed by the turn out for the launch of Volume One in Tom Barry's last night. Amazing. Thank you all so much. Terri Anderson of London, Eng was the name drawn out as the very first receipient of a One Short Story To BE Told volume. So Waiting for Life To Return is winging its way to her as we speak. Stay posted for the story's journey.

Will We Make It?

Gremlins are appearing on a regular basis this week. But leyton has sworn blinding faith in the universe, and therefore refuses to believe that Saturday will be anything less than perfect. But we'd ask you to cross fingers (and anything else you'd like to) for us anyway.
Meanwhile Waiting For Life To Return is jumping about as if an anthill has possesion of his every atom. We all express excitement in our own special way, don't we!

All Systems Go!

All required aspects for volume one are now with the printer. Presentation for the night is nearly there. Bits and bobs to do, but not a lot (we hope) and finally, details of launch are....are you ready?.... 23 Oct (as you know)...time 6pm...and the all important where.... TOM BARRY'S BAR BARRACK ST CORK. See you there.

leyton and Waiting for Life To Return finally agreed on an extract. Well, almost. They drew straws in the end and are now involved in a rather petty stand off. But forgive them their childish behaviour - this is afterall very importnat to them both. Anyway, here is the extarct. Enjoy, we hope it wets your appetite!

Exiting the tree-lined corridor, I step on to the wooden footbridge that traverses shallow water below, and pause to reflect. I look awful, the shimmering surface and dull lighting depict an abhorrent sight. ‘God I am old,’ I curse, and then watch my spit arc into the night, and angle, slowly, onto the glass below where the moon, weightlessly placed on a deciduous, doubles like a giant pair of balloons on the blanket of grey, undulating silk.

moving diary pages

all things move in stange ways here in the ethereal plains, including dates at the top of diary pages. due to this the 16th october seemed a good date for launch night when i perused last. however a quadruple check now sees the 16th as undoable. we need therefore to wait another week to commence celebrations. 23rd oct is, however, set in stone and will not be changed, i pinky promise you that.

Good news and bad news. Bad: Launch CANNOT take place in Sept. Good. Definite date set. It is...yes I am going to tell you... 16th Oct. Venue booked, so all I need now (ironically) is a book to take cente stage. Could you keep fingers, toes, noses and bellybuttons crossed please.

BACK IN THE WORLD!

Hey, I've returned from my sojourn into that other place just wouth of insanity, and am struggling to adjust. The air feels heavy here. Maybe that is because there is a lot of work ahead for this project. I need to contact so many people. But then isn't it the case that getting things done is always a chore until the end product lights upi your world?
IT IS! IT IS! IT IS!
Feel better now.
Anyway only came here to say hello to all. Talk soon

Facebook Announcement

Hey, feeling a lit odd with the announcement on Facebook that this blog has gone live. It feels like I'm losing control of the whole thing. But then that, I suppose, is the idea. But still...

Anyway thanks for checking in.

Volume One Story Chosen

After much deliberation, hand wringing and more than a few sleepless nights Leyton has decidied which of his stories will have the honour of filling the very first edition of One Short Story To Be Told.

The story, 'Waiting for Life to return', is so excited at being chosen that when we approached it for a comment, they was nothing coherent on offer. But the trembling of it's pages, and the sheen on it's words did convey a joy only a few have ever known.

We congratulate 'Waiting for Life to Return" and look forward to the launch (which Leyton is keeping very close to his chest) where "Waiting For Life To Return' will no doubt be resplendent.
